Dyson Institute Applications Open
Applications are now open for the September 2020 Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology cohort and close on Sunday, 2 February.
24 January 2019
The Institute, now in its fourth year, continues to combine an academic course of study and work-based element of learning. Undergraduates are paid a salary to work on live projects at Dyson whilst studying full-time.
Please note that the Dyson Institute will accept applications from international applicants with equivalent qualifications who already have the right to work full time and study in the UK. The Dyson Institute cannot offer visa sponsorship at present.
The first two years will give you a strong foundation in engineering theory and practice before you specialise in years three and four. The engineering fundamentals that you learn in your studies will be put to practice through your role within our Global Engineering team.
What to expect
Life at Dyson is fast-paced. We disrupt each technology category that we enter. With cutting-edge facilities, world-leading engineers and real projects that bring theory to life, our Undergraduates are equipped to develop transformational future technologies.
The programme has been developed by Dyson engineers alongside academics at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), part of the University of Warwick. The University of Warwick has a long-standing reputation for bridging the gap between industry and academia through their strong links with global engineering companies.
In addition to your academic degree (BEng (Hons) Engineering) you will be working towards assessment of professional competencies to obtain the apprenticeship element of the programme.
As a full-time employee and Undergraduate; the programme is both academically rigorous and professionally challenging. However, the rewards are significant:
- You can graduate without debt;
- You will gain professional experience in a global brand to take you forward in your career
Our dedicated student support team will ensure that you navigate this challenging but ultimately rewarding environment.
The Dyson Institute is applying to the Office for Students for New Degree Awarding Powers, with the intention of delivering and awarding the degree itself for students enrolling from September 2021.
